In 2010, I had one of the biggest, most uprooting jobs of my life. No, it wasn’t the online fashion business (flawed in the end, as it transpired). It wasn’t the food photography (not enough income). And it wasn’t the baking (too many cakes, not enough online traffic). Needless to say, it definitely wasn’t the knitting either.
No it was something else altogether. A special non-stop, rollercoaster 10-month project I had self-elected to lead. It was a project so deeply personal and one I will remember forever: the renovation of my own home.
