Mara Pometti – AI Strategist, McKinsey & Company
Mara is an AI strategist at McKinsey & Company specializing in the creation and governance of digital experiences driving proactive change. She helps organisations extend users’ adoption of AI on a larger-scale by breaking out of the ‘pilot trap’. Mara does this by designing strategic frameworks and shaping people and business’ need into novel and seamless experiences that generate transformative growth for organizations by responsibly infusing AI in customers, consumers, and employees’ lives.
Mara is a thought leader in the AI community: she has been recognised among the Top 10 most influential women in AI in UK and Europe, and as an inspirational role model in tech and profiled as part o the Humans Behind AI by McKinsey.
Siân John MBE – Chief Technology Officer, NCC Group
Siân John MBE is Chief Technology Officer at NCC Group responsible for intelligence, insight and innovation within the company.
Siân has worked in Cybersecurity for 25 years across strategy, business risk, privacy and technology. She is a Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Information Security, Chair of the techUK Cybersecurity committee, and a council member for the Engineering and Physical Sciences Council (EPSRC). Siân was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s 2018 New Year’s Honours List for services to Cybersecurity.
Maria Axente – Head of AI Public Policy and Ethics, PwC United Kingdom
Maria is an acknowledged AI ethics and policy expert. As PwC’s Head of AI Public Policy and Ethics, she is responsible for integrating ethical and policy considerations into the company’s AI strategies, promoting partnerships with key stakeholders, and leading PwC’s engagement in public policy debates and initiatives. Previously she was PwC Responsible AI lead, pioneering the adoption of ethical AI practices for the UK firm and its clients. Additionally, Maria champions AI for children and human centric AI.
Sherifat Akintunde-Shitu – Data Management Capability Lead, Accenture
Sherifat Akintunde-Shitu is a Data Management Capability Lead at Accenture, specializing in maximizing the value of data initiatives through robust data management foundations. Passionate about the opportunities AI presents for businesses and augmenting productivity, she works with data leaders to ensure they have high-quality data to power their AI adoption, leveraging over a decade of experience in building data solutions and unlocking actionable insights. Additionally, Sherifat is an advocate for getting more girls and women into tech and supporting those already in the field.
Sherifat is recognized as a thought leader in data management, earning accolades such as the Accenture TechStars 2022 award, a place among the 30 Under 30 in Data and Analytics, and being named one of the Top 30 Women in Data and AI across Accenture UKI.
Akua Opong – Chartered IT Professional, Infrastructure & Cloud, Engineering Team, LSEG
Akua is a Chartered IT Professional within the Infrastructure & Cloud, Engineering Team at LSEG. As part of her role, she mentors new starters in the team, including interns and graduates, and provides technology guidance to colleagues across the Group.
Outside of her main role, Akua is a keen diversity & inclusion advocate, LSEG WIN Engagement Community Team, WIN Tech Events Coordinator, UK Accessibility Lead, Mental Health Champion and UK Community Action Lead for the outreach programmes. She is passionate about raising the profile of Women in STEM, as a STEM ambassador. She was a UN Women UK Delegate for CSW68 during IWD 2024.
Akua is a Neurodiversity advocate (self-identifies as Dyslexic and has ADHD), NED, charity ambassador, fundraiser and a keen sports volunteer for England Netball, UEFA Community and British Athletics.
Dr Clare Walsh, Director of Education at the Institute of Analytics
Dr Clare Walsh is the Director of Education at the Institute of Analytics. After a career in education and assessment, she retrained in web science and currently supports others to develop digital and data skills.
