Guest speaker: Dr Susan Rose, Founder of Bloom Coaching
Susan is passionate about helping women to achieve their potential and works with women in mid to senior level positions to support their personal development. This could be enhancing performance in the workplace; supporting career progression particularly in relation to leadership roles; or achieving goals in their personal lives.
Susan had a long career in industry with experience in business strategy and marketing after which she worked at Henley Business School as a senior leader and academic. She now runs her coaching practice whilst also continuing to research and publish in a range of business topics including customer management; marketing; the future of work; and coaching. Susan is a qualified coach with ICF accreditation.
Susan will be sharing some practical tips and advice on Leadership including:
- What is a leader? How is it different from being a manager?
- Types/styles of leadership – are we all leaders sometimes?
- Current situation for female leaders: the idea of the “gendered organisation”
- What do women and men value in a leader?
- So why aren’t more women in leadership positions?
- Some thoughts on how we move this forward
How it works:
Running to a structured agenda, the meetup allows time for everybody to share their professional or business news, what they do and what they are looking for. For example, if you are seeking new clients in a specific industry, or need to hire a specialist for a particular project, the meetup is the perfect place to share this.
